APSA brings Azerbaijani psychology students together around research, professional development and ethical practice, and connects them with the wider academic community.
APSA was founded to give psychology students in Azerbaijan a dedicated home: a place to learn from practitioners, take part in research, and grow into responsible professionals.
To connect psychology students with practice, research and each other, and to raise professional and ethical standards from the student stage.
We run events with practicing psychotherapists, build a culture of research and ethics, and support members as they grow into coordinator and leadership roles.
Psychology students (BA, MA, PhD), students in related fields, and recent graduates.
Practical learning, community, and responsible research, all led by students and young professionals.
A hybrid series (in person and online) where psychotherapists present their approach in a "Therapist Talk" session, followed by a "Case Lab" session to analyse a case together. Free for participants.
Our first member cohort joined through a structured onboarding, with clear roles, mentoring and a path to coordinator positions.
We promote responsible research: informed consent, ethics approval for human studies, and transparent disclosure of AI tool use, guided by the APSA Ethics Code.
Our flagship scientific platform on emotions and visceral functions, hosted at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Free for APSA members.
